Nuoro (Italy), April 11 (IANS/AKI) Police were on Tuesday searching for the killer of a Chinese shopkeeper slain in a frenzied knife attack in the Sardinian city of Nuoro during an apparent attempted robbery.
A customer found 36-year-old Lu Xian Cha's body in a pool of blood at her shop in Nuoro. The married mother of two had been stabbed between 10 and 15 times all over body late on Monday, police said.
Lu's shop had been ransacked and her empty cash-register was lying on the floor, leading investigators to suspect her killer had tried to rob her.
The woman lived in the town of Posada, some 40 kilometres northeast of Nuoro, where her husband runs another shop.
