Vatican City, Jan 19 (IANS/AKI) Christians who shut their souls to the "constantly surprising" change brought by God will never attain truth, Pope Francis said.
The Pope on Monday warned against "the sin of a closed heart".
"If you have heart that is closed to the new things the Holy Spirit brings, you will never get to the full truth," the Pope said in a sermon at the Vatican's Santa Marta hotel, where he lives.
Such "obstinate" and "rebellious" Christians must guard against "the sin of a closed heart that does not listen to the Lord's voice... which constantly surprises us", he said.
The pontiff urged God to grant Christians "a heart that is open to the voice of the Holy Spirit".
