Cielo wins 50m freestyle gold

Brazil's Cesar Cielo confirmed his status as the king of short sprint when he won his third consecutive World Swimming Championship medal in the 50 metre freestyle category here.

Cielo won the 50m freestyle in 2011 and 2009 and was again fastest in the dash across the pool at the Palau St Jordi, finishing in 21.32 seconds, ahead of Russia's Vladimir Morozov (21.47) and Trinidad and Tobago's George Bovell (21.51) Saturday, reports Xinhua.
