A circus tiger killed a girl in China's southwestern Chongqing Municipality Friday, according to the theme park.
The eight-year-old girl was attacked by the tiger when she slipped into a closed animal training site of a circus in Leheledu Amusement Park while visiting with her relatives Friday night, Xinhua reported.
The girl died in the hospital after serious injuries.
The circus has been hired by the Leheledu Amusement Park for performances. A spokesman for the park said an initial agreement on settling the incident with the victim's family has been reached and vowed to beef up security measures.
