Clashes erupt in Kashmir village

Clashes erupted on Saturday between protesters and security forces near Kashmir's Shopian district, police said

The clashes took place in Sugan village adjacent to Chillipora village where a gunfight had started on Friday between security forces and holed-up militants.

However, the militants reportedly escaped later on Friday night, the police said.

Tear smoke was used to disperse the protesters with no reports of any casualties.
