It was a cloudy day in the national capital while the maximum temperature settled at 33.6 degrees Celsius, average for the season. The Met office has forecast rains Tuesday.
"Tuesday would be a cloudy with rain, thundershowers in some parts of the city," said a India Meteorological Department (IMD) official. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 30 and 19 degrees Celsius.
Monday's minimum temperature was recorded at 18.6 degrees Celsius, a degree below normal, while the humidity wavered between a high of 87 percent and low of 50 percent.
Sunday's maximum temperature was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season average, while the minimum temperature settled at 18.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
