FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique oversaw them produce one of their best displays of the football season as they defeated Celta Vigo 5-0 and sounded a warning to Paris Saint-Germain that their hopes of reaching the Champions League quarter-finals were far from over.
Barcelona will need to overcome a 0-4 deficit, but after watching a magnificent display from Lionel Messi, Neymar and company, Luis Enrique on Saturday insisted that nothing was impossible, reports Xinhua news agency.
"Paris don't defend like Celta do, but confidence is vital. People think we are out before the game has kicked off, but with some positive circumstances we can try it and we will do that until the last minute," commented the Barcelona coach.
"I don't know if this was our best display of the season as we have played very well at times. But it is one of the best and if I had to write a script for Wednesday's game, it would be similar with us scoring goals, creating chances and working hard. If we do that, we are going to have chances of getting back into the tie," he insisted.
The performance came just three days after Enrique had announced that he would not be continuing as Barca coach next season and the coach was pleased that his announcement had not affected his players.
"I don't think my news affected them at all, we are all professionals and we have had been together for many months and I have been here for three years trying to get to the end of the season in the best possible shape," he concluded.
