Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra on Saturday announced compensation of Rs.3 lakh each to next of kin of three people at the Amarnath base camp at Baltal killed in a cloudburst in the area.
Vohra, who is also the chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), also reviewed the situation at the Baltal base camp at a meeting at the Raj Bhavan here.
The dead included two minor children from Rajasthan and a pilgrim from Delhi, while 11 people were injured.
