The Congress legislature party leaders in Madhya Pradesh unanimously decided that the Leader of OpposItion will be named by the party high command.
"The MLAs unanimously passed a resolution saying party President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi will decide the name of the Leader of Opposition," Congress leader Ajay Makens said.
The Budgest Session of Madhya Pradesh assembly begins on Tuesday.
Many Congress leaders are in the race for the post after Satyadev Katare died in October last year.
