Union Minister Anant Geete on Thursday said the central government will soon hold consultations with the industry for framing a new automobile policy.
According to the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises, the automobile industry has attracted a healthy influx of foreign investments and the new policy will protect the rights of the companies engaged in the sector.
Geete was speaking at the inauguration of the 14th edition of the Auto Expo.
The "Auto Expo - The Motor Show" 2018 will open for the public from Friday.
February 7 and 8 were reserved for the media and exhibitors.
