Corinthians are in talks with Portugal's FC Porto over the sale of centre-back Felipe, according to the Brazilian club's football director Edu Gaspar.
The Portuguese outfit has already made an informal proposal to secure the 27-year-old in the European summer transfer window, Gaspar said, reports Xinhua.
"We are in direct contact with the player's representatives," Gaspar was quoted as saying by the Sambafoot portal on Tuesday.
"Something seems to have come. It's something casual but it looks like we will soon get something formal. You need to have perfect timing to make a transfer but we are aware that a proposal may come. It will probably be a significant offer and we will see what happens during the negotiations."
Media reports in Brazil have speculated that Corinthians would be willing to accept 8 million euros (around 9 million dollars) for Felipe, who has made 47 appearances since joining the club in 2012.
