The CPI-M on Thursday denounced the "murderous attacks launched by the RSS" in Kerala following the BJP's defeat and said a CPI-M worker was killed in one such incident.
The person was killed and five others were injured when bombs were hurled at a Left Democratic Front (LDF) victory rally in Dharmadam, which elected Marxist leader Pinarayi Vijayan to the state assembly.
In Kanhangad, the RSS attacked another CPI-M victory rally, injuruign the newly elected legislator and a senior leader, a CPI-M statement said.
"Similar attacks are being reported from Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram districts."
It said that in Nemom constituency, which elected BJP leader O. Rajagopal to the legislature, former MLA and CPI-M candidate Sivankutty's office was attacked.
The CPI-M demanded that the RSS attackers must be immediately be brought to book.
