An inter-state criminal involved in multiple murder cases and carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head and has been arrested here, police said on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Pramod Singh Kushwah said that the accused Rajesh, 47, from Rohtak in Haryana has been arrested by city police from Karnataka on Wednesday.
The DCP said that Rajesh, belonging to 'Sonu Daryapur Gang', was wanted in a triple murder case in Delhi and also in several gang wars.
Kushwah said that two of Rajesh's associates were arrested in May and June and acting on a tip-off, Rajesh was arrested from Uttar Kannada district in Karnataka on Wednesday.
Police said Rajesh was given life imprisonment in 1997 in a murder case but he jumped parole and committed murders in between.
On April 2016, Rajesh, along with his associates had shot down a police officer and two others in north-west Delhi, police said.
