A CRPF constable, Vinod Kumar, a native of Ghaziabad, was among the four security personnel killed in an encounter with militants in the Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
"His mortal remains are expected to arrive on Sunday," said his elder brother Rajendra.
He had joined CRPF in 2004.
A resident of Patla in Modinagar area, Vinod had joined duty on February 8 after a month's leave. An official communication informed the family about his death.
The youngest of four brothers, Vinod is survived by wife Neetu, nine-year-old son Ansh and six-year-old daughter Alisha.
