Cueist Kamal Chawla of India crashed out of the Asian snooker championship when he lost his semifinal match 2-6 to Malaysia's Chuan Leong Thor, here Friday.

Chawla, who had shown impressive form to get this far in the competition, could not reproduce his best against Thor and though he managed to win two frames, the Malaysian proved more than a handful.

The semifinal finish, however, fetched Chawla a bronze medal, his first in the competition.
