Expressing happiness over the India Under-23 team clinching the Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup, Indian cricket board interim chief Jagmohan Dalmiya Sunday congratulated the young players for making the most of the opportunity.
"I am elated that India U-23 cricket team has 'emerged' as champions of Asia. It is indeed a matter of delight that the promising youngsters could again make the most of the opportunity," Dalmiya said in a statement here.
A clinical India won the title with a resounding nine-wicket final win over Pakistan Under-23 in Singapore Sunday.
Dalmiya also praised the Asian Cricket Council for organising the ACC Emerging Teams Cup successfully
"It is a great way of developing young talented cricketers in the region," he said.
