Actor and martial artist Darren Shahlavi, who appeared in "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" TV series and "Arrow," has died. He was 42.
According to his agent, Shahlavi passed away while sleeping Jan 14. The cause of death has not been revealed, reports variety.com.
But a law enforcement source reportedly told www.tmz.com that the actor died of an overdose on prescription medication.
Shahlavi recently finished shooting on "Pound of Flesh" with Jean-Claude Van Damme and is also known for his work in "Ip Man 2" (2010), "Watchmen" (2009), "300" (2006) and "Alone in the Dark" (2005).
In 2011, he appeared as Kano in "Mortal Kombat: Legacy". Shahlavi had a guest role in "Arrow" as well.
