Paris Saint-Germain's new signing David Luiz said he's sure that joining the Ligue 1 champions was a better choice than moving to Spanish giants Barcelona.
"I was sure that I would be happier here in Paris than in Barcelona," said the 27-year-old Brazilian who left Chelsea for Laurent Blanc's side this summer in a five-year deal amounting 50 million euros, reports Xinhua.
During an interview with Telefoot, Luiz said: "PSG is a club of the future, so I'm happy to be here and I think I'll stay here for many years to come."
His national teammates Thiago Silva and PSG manager Blanc were instrumental in finalising his decision.
He said: "I talked a lot with Thiago Silva and also with coach Laurent Blanc who helped to make my decision easy."
"The next objective is the Champions League," he added.
