The total number of people killed in yesterday's attacks by the Islamic State terror organization in the Syrian city of Sweida rose to 302 on Thursday, a UK-based war monitor reported.
The toll increased due to the death of the seriously wounded and the recovery of bodies of those who were missing or executed by IS in the rural areas of the region, Efe news reported citing the monitor.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), 135 civilians were among those killed, including 34 children and 111 fighters.
SOHR added that 56 extremists also died, including seven who blew themselves up on Wednesday at different points in al-Suwayda.
The death toll could rise further due to the severity of injuries and because people were still missing.
The Syrian government's official news agency SANA reported that a mass funeral had begun in the city of al-Suwayda to bury the victims.
