The Indian capital got light to moderate rains Monday bringing respite from days of heat and humidity. The weatherman has predicted more showers Tuesday.
The rains were maximum in south Delhi, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD). More rain and thunderstorm has been forecast Tuesday in some parts of the city.
The maximum temperature settled at 35.8 degree Celsius, one notch below the season's average. The minimum was 27.2 degree Celsius average for this time of the year.
Humidity settled between a high of 88 and a low of 63 percent.
Tuesday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 34 and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
The maximum temperature Sunday was three notches below average at 33.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 27.9 degrees, average for this time of the season.
