Delhi Metro services between Jahangirpuri and HUDA City Centre on the Yellow Line were disrupted for half-an-hour after a glitch in a train on Monday evening, an official said.
Train services were affected between 8.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. when sparks were detected in the pantograph, an apparatus on the roof of a train that collects power through contact with the overhead wire, in a train moving towards Jahangirpuri.
"Metro services were affected between New Delhi and Chawri Bazar stations," a Metro official said.
All passengers were taken out of the train at Chawri Bazar station and the train was moved to a depot on restricted speed.
"Normalcy was restored at 9 p.m. All other lines were unaffected from this incident and train services were running normally," the official said.
