Delhi/NCR highest consumer of pizza in India: Survey

On the occasion of National Cheese Pizza Day Friday, food ordering portal Foodpanda.in conducted a survey and the results revealed that people in the NCR region indulge in the Italian delight the most in the country.

Maximum orders for Pizzas came from Delhi/NCR with 45 percent, followed by Bangalore (27 percent), Mumbai (eight percent), Hyderabad and Pune (six percent), while Chennai and cities like Jaipur, Kolkata and Ahmedabad (four percent).

"We observe that every city has an entirely different food culture and choices but Pizza is one of the few uniformly favourite food items across the country," Rohit Chadda, managing director and co-founder of Foodpanda, said in a statement.

The study revealed that Delhiites love their Pizzas with a lot of wholesome veggie toppings.
