A court here on Thursday remanded suspected Al Qaeda terrorists Maulana Abdul Rehman and Zafar Masood to 12 days' police custody.
Additional Sessions Judge Reetesh Singh allowed the plea of Delhi Police that the custody of the two suspects was required to unearth the conspiracy and to identify other associates.
Maulana Abdul Rehman was arrested in Odisha's Cuttack district on Tuesday in a joint operation of Odisha and Delhi police, Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner R.P. Sharma had told the media on Wednesday.
He has been booked under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Zafar Masood was arrested in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
