Eleven members of the Delhi wushu team departed for Kerala to participate in the ongoing 35th National Games Wednesday.
Unlike the last edition where 40 golds were available, this time the sport is offering only 15 (8 in Taolu and 7 In Sanshou).
However, due to injury, Asian Games bronze medallist Narender Grewal and World Cup gold medallist Santosh Kumar will not participate.
Delhi won 10 golds, five silvers and five bronzes in the 34th National Games in Ranchi in 2011, to finish second behind Manipur.
Delhi team: Manoj Kumar, Suraj Singh Patel, Lalit Yadav, Shashi Tamang, Rakesh Haldar, Daizy, Dimpy, Rajvir Singh and Lokesh Kumar (coaches), Narender Sharma and Rajesh Kumar (managers).
