The Delhi government Friday deferred, for three months, the proposal for making pollution under control (PUC) certificate mandatory for filling fuel in vehicles, said an official statement.
A high power committee set up by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung had proposed the PUC certificate be made mandatory for filling petrol, in a bid to check the air pollution.
During this period, a multi media campaign will also be launched for creating awareness and need for PUC certificates.
