Delhi shine in table tennis tourney

Delhi beat Gujarat 3-1 to claim the sub-junior boys' team trophy for the first time, while West Bengal retained the sub-junior girls' crown after defeating Delhi 3-2 at the 78th Cadet and Sub-Junior Nationals here on Saturday.

The cadet girls crown, too went Delhi's way -- again for the first time -- after a gruelling 24-game marathon which lasted nearly three hours, thanks to a resilient West Bengal, who lost 2-3.

Tamil Nadu retained their team trophy in the cadet boys' category by beating Karnataka 3-0.
