Unidentified assailants on Monday shot dead a 31-year-old tutor in his coaching centre here, police said.
Ankit's family suspects that his girlfriend's brother is responsible for his killing, according to the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Aslam Khan said Ankit was shot dead in north Delhi's Mahendra Park area at about 8.30 a.m.
"The motive is not clear but the victim's family has alleged that it might be because of a girl with whom he was in a relationship," Khan said.
"We are still investigating the matter to verify whether the claims by his family are true," she said.
