Singer Demi Lovato says she will be taking a break from her music career in the New Year and will focus on her charity work.
"So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight. I am not meant for this business and the media," Lovato posted on Twitter on Wednesday, reports mirror.co.uk.
Explaining her decision, Lovato told a fan: "Dunno. It doesn't feel worth it anymore. I'd rather do charity work."
After making her debut as a child actress in "Barney & Friends", Lovato rose to prominence in 2008 when she starred in TV film "Camp Rock".
She released her debut album, "Don't Forget", in September 2008
