Venezuelan football club Deportivo Lara defeated Colombian outfit Millonarios 2-1 in the fourth round of the Copa Libertadores, with their midfielder Carlos Sierra Lopez scoring a brace, which revived the team's ranking in Group G.
Sierra took advantage of a subtle pass and forwarded into the Millonarios box in the tenth minute and increased his goalscoring share in the 28th minute by nailing a penalty on Ramirez, one of the game's most outstanding players, reports EFE news agency.
Millonarios striker Ayron del Valle, for his part, scored one goal for his team in the 69th minute of Tuesday night's match.
With this result, Lara enters the fight for a slot to the second phase of this continental tournament, as it is now in the second place of the group while waiting for the result between the Brazilian Corinthians and the Argentine Independiente, the two other teams in the group.
Meanwhile, the Colombians fell to third place.
