A portion of sales proceeds from designer duo Ashima-Leena's new line will be used towards upliftment of tribals and Dalits of remote villages of Giridih district in Jharkhand.
Ashima-Leena have come up with a ready-to-wear range La Vie En Rose, launched at the DLF Emporio here. The designers said 20 per cent of the sales will be donated towards NGO Savera Foundation, read a statement.
The new line, inspired by the signature song of popular French singer Edith Piaf -- written in 1945 -- consists of capes, accessories and Indian ensembles.
Savera Foundation is dedicated to work with poor and most marginalised women, children and men (Dalits and Tribals) in bettering their condition, since 2006.
