As the grand alliance of the Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress romped home in the Bihar assembly elections on Sunday, an upbeat RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav said "development" would be a priority of the new government in the state.
"Our priority is development and only development of Bihar," Tejaswi Yadav told the media here.
Tejaswi - cricketer turned politician son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad - is leading from Raghopur constituency over BJP candidate Satish Rai.
"We will take Bihar on the developmental path and ensure that the state becomes a model one," the RJD leader said.
He also thanked the people of Bihar for voting the Grand Alliance to power.
Tejaswi, however, refused to say anything on his likely role in the next government led by Nitish Kumar.
His elder brother Tej Pratap, who won from Mahua assembly seat, is widely seen as Lalu Prasad's successor in the RJD.
