Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva believes that Angel Di Maria's arrival will bring "more confidence to the team".
"I think he will bring more confidence to the team," said Silva.
The Brazil defender highlighted the threat posed by the midfielder's dynamic style during an interview, Xinhua reported on Thursday.
Di Maria completed his 63-million-euro switch to the Ligue 1 champions on August 6 after a disappointing season at English Premier League's Manchester United.
Silva is confident the Argentina international will make a positive impact at the Parc des Princes and strengthen Laurent Blanc's already-formidable squad.
"This is a player who always manages to create danger. He does not hesitate to carry the ball. He has many qualities and will help us a lot. With him we are even stronger than last season," he said.
PSG, who swept all the 2014-15 season titles with the Ligue 1, French Cup and the French League Cup, opened the defence of their league title last Friday with a battling 1-0 win at Lille.
