To motivate and encourage children to take up aero-modelling as a hobby and sport, the Bengal Aero Modellers Association (BAMA) will organise an exhibition on model aviation beginning here on Sunday.
"The idea is to motivate students and the youth to enjoy model aviation as a sport or hobby and make and fly model planes in near future and more than anything, develop interest in this subject. Who knows, future pilots would not come out of these exercises...," co-organiser Abheda Foundation said in a statement.
BAMA helps teach enthusiasts in flying models of gliders, radio control (RC) power gliders, planes, and helicopters.
The exhibition will run from May 15 to May 29 at BA 177, Salt Lake area in the northeastern part of the city.
