Hannover's striker Mame Biram Diouf played his last season for the Lower Saxony side, the Bundesliga football club announced.
Diouf's agent informed Hannover's manager Dirk Dufner that the Senegalese international striker will leave the club after his contract expires, June 30, reports Xinhua.
"Now we have the clarity that we have asked for some time. It needed a decision so that we can advance our plans for the upcoming season," Hannover manager Dirk Dufner said Thursday.
The 26-year-old striker joined the German side from Manchester United on an undisclosed fee in January 2012, becoming a key player at Hannover by scoring 35 goals in 71 encounters.
"We will retain an exceptional striker in memory. We have to thank Mame for his passionate commitment," Dufner added.
Hannover completed the last campaign on 10th place of the Bundesliga standings.
