Air India will begin daily direct flights from Lucknow to Jaipur and Bhopal from July 5, an airline official said on Thursday.
Bookings for these flights have already started, according to Air India Station Manager Devendra Singh.
The flight from Lucknow to Jaipur will take off every afternoon at 4.25 p.m., while the one for Bhopal will fly at 11.50 a.m.
Singh said opening the new sectors was part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plan to connect smaller towns and cities by air.
The Civil Aviation Ministry is currently working on the ambitious project where the flying time would be around one hour and tickets available at Rs 2,500 per flight.
