A documentary on the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots will be screened on Friday night on University of Hyderabad campus, where students are protesting over Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide.
Nakul Singh Sawhney's documentary 'Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai' will be shown as a mark of protest at the protest venue on the campus.
"This documentary is to be screened tonight to signify resistance and transformation, and to remember that we exist at these times of violent carnage," said the Joint Action Committee for Social Justice, an umbrella of 14 student organisations.
It said the screening was in memory of Rohith, against social boycott and for self-respect.
