Dollar stays in upper 119 yen zone in early Tokyo deals

The US dollar changed hands in the upper 119 yen zone in early Tokyo deals on Thursday.

At 9 a.m. (local time), the dollar was quoted at 119.88-89 yen compared with 119.83-93 yen in New York and 120.02-04 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

The euro fetched $1.1170-1171 and 133.91-93 yen against $1.1172-1182 and 133.95-134.05 yen in New York and $1.1229-1230 and 134.77-81 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
