Borussia Dortmund extended its lead in the Bundesliga with a 2-1 victory over hosts Mainz 05 in the 12th round of the German league.
After a goalless first half, Dortmund netted two goals in 10 minutes to secure the win on Saturday night, reports Efe news.
Spanish forward Paco Alcacer opened the scoring for Dortmund 66 minutes into the match, but Mainz forward Robin Quaison netted the equalizer just four minutes later.
With 14 minutes to go, Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek scored the winning goal to secure the third straight victory for his side.
Dortmund is now seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table with 30 points, while Mainz is in 10th place with 15 points.
Elsewhere in the German league, Fortuna Dusseldorf held defending champion Bayern Munich to a 3-3 late tie, as the latter failed to win for the third match in a row.
