Double for Rajnikrishnan in national motorcycle championship

K. Rajnikrishnan underlined his status as one of country's top riders as he posted his second win of the weekend in the Group C 165cc class here Sunday in the third round of the FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Championship.

Rajnikrishnan finished ahead of K. Jagan while his main rival and Honda CBR 250 winner Sarath Kumar took the third spot after holding off Deepak Ravikumar.

Sarath Kumar ended his winless run when he beat Sumit Lucas Toppo by 0.087secs in the Honda CBR 250 race. Despite finishing second, Toppo impressed as he set the fastest lap of the race while crossing the finish line side-by-side with Sarath Kumar. In third spot was Ramesh Kumar.
