DU students to study urbanization in five cities

The fourth edition of an educational train journey by Delhi University students begins March 11 to study urbanization models in five cities, it was announced Tuesday.

The journey is undertaken every year. This year's theme is 'Urbanization Now and Then'.

"The journey will assess the urbanization models of various Indian cities and the changes in the dynamics of governance," an official said.

The students will go to Kanpur and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and Surat and Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

A university spokesman told IANS that the precise number of students who will travel is not known as of now. The tour ends March 19.
