Dubai, May 3 (IANS/WAM) Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited a control centre of the Dubai Metro to acquaint himself with the functioning of the Middle East's first driverless passenger metro.
The prime minister visited the Al Rashidiya Main Depot Operation Control Centre, where he was given a presentation about the state-of-the-art centre.
Abe took a tour on the Metro Red Line from the Rashidiya station to Burj Khalifa station.
Stating that he was impressed with Dubai's tourist landmarks, Abe said his visit gave him an opportunity to see the progress both the UAE and Dubai are witnessing.
