Eid al-Adha is being celebrated with traditional fervour across Uttarakhand on Saturday.
Hundreds and thousands of Muslims turned up at mosques to offer the morning prayers after which they greeted each other in the festival that symbolised sacrifice and dedication.
At many places it has been raining since the morning but it has failed to dampen the festive spirit.
Heavy police presence has been ensured around mosques and some sensitive places. Last minute shopping was witnessed in Kargi, Niranjanpur, Chakrata road and the Inamullah building here.
