A junior engineer in the Madhya Pradesh electricity department was arrested red-handed on Monday for taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 in the state's Pradesh's Sidhi district.
Junior engineer Narendra Tiwari caught Shiv Kumar Sahu few days ago for keeping an illegal electricity connection, and in return for silence, demanded a Rs 20,000 bribe, Rewa Police Superintendent (Lokayukta) T.K. Vidyarthi told IANS.
Vidyarthi said that a complaint was filed against Tiwari in the court and after confirmation, Lokayukta police went to his office and caught him taking a bribe.
