Former England footballer Rio Ferdinand's wife Rebecca Ferdinand passed away following a short battle with cancer.
Rebecca, who passed away on Friday, was 34. She is survived by her husband and three children. Rio and Rebecca tied the knot in 2009.
The English Premier League (EPL) club Queens Park Rangers (QPR) defender issued a short statement to thank staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital where she was under treatment and to ask for privacy.
