The Congress advisory committee is seeking entries for the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavna award 2013, a statement by the All India Congress Committee said Thursday.
The award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs.5 lakh. It is given to either individuals or institutions in recognition of their endeavour to promote communal harmony or fight terrorism and violence.
The entries should be sent latest by June 14 to the chairman of the advisory committee, Karan Singh, the statement added.
The award which is given each year on late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's birthday August 20 has been previously awarded to Bismillah Khan, Lata Mangeshkar and Mother Teresa among others.
