Abu Dhabi, July 19 (IANS/WAM) Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, Thursday announced an expansion of its codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, for flights to Kuwait via Abu Dhabi.
The newly added codeshare destination will see Air Seychelles and Etihad Airways offer 10 seamless return flights per week from Kuwait to the Seychelles, including a daily service.
A codeshare agreement, sometimes simply called codeshare, is an aviation business arrangement where two or more airlines share the same flight.
Under a code sharing agreement, the airline that actually operates the flight (the one providing the plane, the crew and the ground handling services) is called the operating carrier. But the company or companies selling tickets for that flight, but do not actually operate it, are termed as marketing carriers.
