Euphoric Bollywood tweets to congratulate Mumbai Indians

Congratulations kept rolling in Monday as celebs took to Twitter to laud the Mumbai Indians for their triumph in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League.

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan was delighted. "We won...!!!!!! MUMBAI INDIANS... you beauty... IPL CHAMPIONS... Poetic justice... 4 years of labour!!" tweeted Big B, after the Mumbai Indians overwhelmed Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs in the IPL final at the Eden Gardens Sunday.

Amitabh's son Abhishek was equally ecstatic. "YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! MUMBAIIIIIII!!!!!! Well done."

Actor Akshay Kumar congratulated Mumbai Indians, but also praised bowlers from both the teams for their performance.

"Congrats to the new champions, Mumbai Indians. What a game of cricket it was, specially the bowlers from both the teams," he tweeted.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, a Mumbaikar and Kings XI Punjab co-owner, said: "Congratulations#MI;-) As a Mumbaikar I've got a big grin on my face tonight :-))))) Sorry#Csk but u've won be4! Well played Dhoni! Ting."

Some celebrities were in a mood for celebrations after the men in blue won.

Actress Sonakshi said: "Yayyyyyy MUMBAI INDIANSSSS!!! Time to celebrate... Congratulations for an amazing win and even better#IPLFinal!!"

ActorVivek Oberoi was euphoric over the Mumbai Indians finally managing to lift the title. "FINALLLLLLY!!! After 6 years of waiting, finally Mumbai Indians win!#iplfinalKudos to Dhonifor a brave fight but so happy we won!

Riteish Deshmukh cried his heart out for the champions. "and weeeeeee winnnnnnnnnnnn - mumbaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii indiannnnssssssss... you championsssss."

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen said Mumbai Indians deserved the victory.

"CONGRATULATIONS MI on their FIRST EVER win at d IPL!!!:)) Well deserved Victory!! MI supporters a moment to remember... UR team was SUPER!!:))"
