Battery-to-lighting major Eveready Industries on Friday said it has commenced commercial production at its new plant in Assam from Thursday.
The unit has a capacity of manufacturing 500 million batteries and 9 million LED flashlights per annum.
"On Thursday, February 23, 2017, the company has commenced the commercial production at its new unit at industrial growth centre, Matia, Goalpara, Assam," it said in a regulatory filing at BSE.
