Vatican City, May 7 (IANS/AKI) Christians should reflect on each day of their lives to see how God had guided them, Pope Francis has said.

"It is good for Christians to examine their consciences in respect of each day. The exercise is beneficial because it means we become truly aware of what the Lord has done within our hearts," Francis said.

"Let us ask our Lord to help us bear shining witness to his mercy and his love in every area of our Christian lives," Francis earlier wrote in a tweet in his @Pontifex account published in nine languages.

The Pope has over six million followers on the microblogging website Twitter.
