Forensic experts would be called in to help reconstruct the scene of the death of a murder suspect in a Ghaziabad lock-up, police said Thursday.
Vineet Sharma, 30, suspected to be involved in a robbery-cum-double-murder, allegedly hanged himself to death April 28 in a lockup in Indirapuram police station, hours before he was to be presented in a court.
Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Tiwari said: "I have decided to invite a team of forensic experts from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad, or from some other such place to re-construct the crime scene."
An autopsy conducted on Sharma said his body bore strangulation marks suspected to have been inflicted before death.
Five policemen were suspended after the incident and a murder case was registered.
Sharma's father alleged his son died due to police torture.
Sharma, a resident of Aligarh, was picked up by police from Ghaziabad after a robbery-cum-double-murder at the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) complex in the city.
He was the brother-in-law of Suresh Sharma and his wife Bubbli, who were found murdered in their CISF complex house April 24.
